Answers
Q1. What is the CGDB?
Answer: The CGDB is the first database oriented in hosting omics information of Coriandrum sativum, set up by Fulei Nie, Dr. Xiyin Wang and Dr. Xiaoming Song From the Center for Genomics and Computational Biology, North China University of Science and Technology, Tangshan, Hebei, China.
Q2. What data and information does the CGDB contain?
Answer: CGDB aims to be the leading database for C. sativum omics, including Genome, transcriptome and metabolome. Currently, the CGDB contained significant search tools and available dataset for researcher to study gene annotation, comparative genomics, gene family, gene expression, gene collinearity, and metabolic regulatory of C. sativum. We also implemented Basic Local Alignment Search Tool, which was very convenient for comparative analyses among Apiaceae species. CGDB also includes several additional pages for bulk data download, detailed user manual and data integration information. This current CGDB is Version 1.0, and we will update it continuously with new dataset or tools.
Q3. What is the CGDB supported?
Answer: This database was funded by the projects from Xiaoming Song, including National Natural Science Foundation of China (31801856), Hebei Province Higher Education Youth Talents Program(BJ2018016), and Natural Science Foundation of Hebei (C2017209103).
Q4. What is the structure of CGDB?
Answer: CGDB is a relatively user-friendly online platform. A list of functions/tools were offered, including Home, Browser, Tools, Search, Download, Help, and Contact Us. Users could find information easily through this menu.
Q5. How can I cite CGDB?
Answer: If you use any data, function or tool of the CGDB, please cite related papers in homepages.
Q6.. Can I submit my data to CGDB?
Answer: We strongly encourage users to submit their data either genome or transcriptome to CGDB. Please contact Dr. Song or Fulei Nie for technical help.
Q7. Can I download data from CGDB?
Answer: Yeah, welcome to use any dataset for research purpose without any restrictions. For commercial purposes, please contact us before you use any dataset.
Q8. Do I need a CGDB account to access data?
Answer: No registration is needed to access all data on CGDB. But please be noted that if you use it for commercial usage, contact us first.
Q9. Are there any other statements about the CGDB?
Answer: Some pictures and data on this website are from the Internet. The copyright belongs to the original author. If there is any infringement, please contact us to delete.
Q10. How can I contact CGDB?
Answer: If you report a bug or others related to the database, please feel free to contact Dr. Xiaoming Song, E-mail: songxiaoming116@163.com.
